Ecology & sustainability

Our commitment in the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse. Living inside a regional nature park is a commitment: here is our eco-responsible charter.

Nature here is not just a backdrop — it is our host. Our serviced residence is surrounded by thriving biodiversity: our 1.5-hectare wooded grounds merge straight into the forest of the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park.

From the building's thermal insulation to soil conservation and support for low-carbon travel, we act every day so that your stay — whether three nights or six months — weighs as little as possible on this protected environment. We invite you to enjoy a natural slow-tourism experience, combining modern comfort with ecological awareness in the Yvelines (78).

1. Eco-construction and energy performance

To reduce our carbon footprint while guaranteeing optimal thermal comfort, the structure of our aparthotel meets strict criteria:

  • High-performance double insulation: our building combines state-of-the-art external thermal insulation (ETI), which eliminates thermal bridges, with internal thermal insulation.
  • Bio-based materials: during our regular renovations, we favour healthy, ecological and durable materials.
  • Energy and water management: all our apartments are fitted with key-card power savers and flow reducers on the taps.
  • Confort Vivrelec label: the assurance of smart, controlled management of electricity and heating across our 42 apartments.
  • Soothing acoustic comfort: materials chosen to encourage complete calm and rest.

Our transition projects under way: installing cast-iron or ceramic-core radiators, studying roof insulation (sarking) topped with solar panels, and installing a large rainwater harvesting tank.

2. Biodiversity and sustainable management of our 1.5-hectare grounds

Our landscaped grounds are managed responsibly, as a true extension of the state forest:

  • Differentiated management of green spaces: we have given up close mowing and hard pruning to respect the life cycles of wildlife and plants. Many wild areas are now left entirely untouched.
  • A haven for wildlife: the edge of the woods is left to nature. Every day, does and roe deer come to graze peacefully in our grounds and our neighbour's.
  • Zero pesticides: no pesticides or chemical fertilisers are used to maintain our soils. We make extensive use of ramial chipped wood (RCW) to feed the soil naturally.
  • Ecological refuges: logs are arranged around the grounds to form insect hotels and shelter the valley's birds and small mammals.

3. Waste management and eco-friendly upkeep

Because sustainable tourism lives in small everyday gestures, we make eco-friendly habits easy for our guests:

  • Full recycling: clear, accessible recycling bins are at your disposal (burgundy bins for general waste, yellow bins for cardboard and plastics, and dedicated containers for glass).
  • Gentle awareness: anti-waste notices about linen and towels are displayed in every shower room.
  • Eco-efficient shared laundry: by offering freely accessible washing machines, we reduce overall water consumption. Clothes airers are also provided for natural drying (they simply may not be used on the terraces, to avoid visual clutter).
  • Responsible cleaning: we use only eco-labelled cleaning products, to preserve indoor air quality.

Our project under way: a shared composting area for our guests and staff.

4. Eco-mobility and slow tourism on the doorstep of Paris

Ideally located 30 km from the capital, we encourage our business travellers and holidaymakers to choose low-carbon ways of getting around:

  • RER B just 3 km away: Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse station takes you straight to Paris while limiting car use.
  • Easy cycle touring: bike hire and repair are available from our local partners to explore the Véloscénie route.
  • Alternative options: easy access to local car-sharing networks and to the region's on-demand transport service (TAD 78).

Our project under way: charging points for electric vehicles, powered by our future solar panels and storage batteries.
